DYSEN

The DYSEN project (which stands for the German long title “Dynamische Sentimentanalyse als emotionaler Kompass für die digitale Medienlandschaft), funded by the Stadt Wien within the “Digital Humanism” call (Grant Number MA 7 – 737909/19), was a cooperation project together with the TU Wien (coordination), the University of Vienna and the Austrian Academy of Sciencs and is embedded in the context of the DYLEN project. The project took place from February 2020 to December 2021. During this time, a tool was created to detect the change of emotional polarization of politicians in Austrian Newspapers. The tool helps to see trends and explore differences between media types and single newspapers. The data used for this study is a subcorpus the Austrian Media Corpus (AMC) with topic related to Vienna.
